When you call, a client liaison will collect your information and a brief medical history to ensure that you are scheduled with the appropriate service. 

If it is not possible to keep a scheduled appointment, please contact the scheduling staff at least 24 hours in advance. If you are going to arrive late, please contact the scheduling staff as soon as possible.

A referral to the Large Animal Hospital can be requested by your veterinarian, but is not required to be seen by our veterinary clinicians. 

We will work closely with your veterinarian if they refer you and your animal to our facility.

Please bring copies of your animal’s medical records such as history, test results and radiographs or ultrasound images. A client liaison will scan and enter the medical history into your animal’s medical record at the UF Large Animal Hospital.

For our equine patients, the owner must present a valid Coggins. This will also be entered into the patient’s medical record.
