The UF Large Animal Hospital Equine Reproduction Ambulatory Service enables us to provide comprehensive ambulatory reproductive services designed to support successful breeding outcomes and healthy pregnancies, without the stress, risk, or inconvenience of hauling mares off-site.

  • Cycle Management
    Individualized breeding plans, ultrasound monitoring and hormone therapy, if needed. 
  • (Problem) Mare Evaluation & Treatment 
    Comprehensive reproductive evaluations, diagnostics, and customized treatment plans. 
  • Artificial Insemination (AI) 
    Using fresh, cooled, or frozen semen. 
  • Semen Evaluation
    On‑farm assessment of semen quality, including motility and concentration. 
  • Embryo Flushing 
    Embryo collection with meticulous handling for transfer or vitrification. 
  • Embryo Transfer 
    Coordination and transfer of fresh, vitrified or ICSI‑produced embryos with precise timing. 
  • Embryo Vitrification 
    Technique used to preserve embryos (freezing) for long- term storage and/or future transfer.
